Anyone need a mechanic

The boys decided that they needed to "work" on their Hummer with their Handy Manny tools that April got them. It was really cute. Stew crawled up under there all by himself. He is a goof. I think Skoebie just wanted to know what Stew was doing to his truck.

Driving!

Skoebie and Papa playing with their RC cars. Stew's first drive down the hall in the apartment. The battery finally finished charging at 8 o'clock at night. So despite the fact that the boys were in jammies and getting ready for bed we had to take it for a test drive while Gramps was still here. (Dad and Meme had to fly out the next morning-Early!) Then we bundled up and took it outside. Stew had a blast! Skoebie enjoyed riding while Stew was driving. Then it was Skoeb's turn. He wasn't expecting the power that the truck has and it scared him. He didn't want to drive it again until the next day. Stew had a permanent smile on his face the entire time. I think he fell asleep with that smile on his face.

Dear Santa, I want a Monster Truck!

Stew has asked all Christmas season for one thing... A Monster Truck! He has been consistant in his asking. When my Mom and Dad said that they wanted to get the boys a Power-wheels truck, I knew that one little boys hopes had been filled. Stew was so excited when Gramps brought out this big box filled with yellow H2 Hummer monster Truck. Gramps even came out of the box too! Maybe that is why the boys thought that they got to keep him with us. Of course they had to get in the truck before it was even put together. It was great to get to watch the boys being so excited and have Dad and Meme there to share the moment with us.

Christmas with Dad and Meme

Meme bought the boys some remote control cars which have flashing lights. They Love watching them drive all over the place. It is fun that even Skoebie can make his car drive. Gramps and Papa had fun helping the boys learn how they work too. Skoebie had to show Meme the Handy Many tool set they got from Auntie A. Then Stew wanted everyone to see his Train pieces. These two kids love thier wooden trains.

Dad and Meme came for a visit

Stew and my Dad, Gramps! Skoebie and Meme all in the car. While they were here we did Christmas early with their presents. It was great fun. The boys had a blast! They loved having them here. Stew cried when he woke up and Gramps was gone. Skoebie wasn't so into opening the presents as he was letting Stew do the work to get it opened and then he would play with the toy. It was really funny to watch.

Behind on Blogging

OK, Folks, Please be patient with me. I know I am SERIOUSLY behind on my blogging. The last couple of weeks have been so busy. My Dad and Meme came for a visit, we moved on post (thus causing us to go without internet until today), Had tons of household good delivered, Have made 3 full trips to Goodwill so far, experienced Snopocalypse 2008 (Seattle's biggest snow storm in like 20 years), Drove to Idaho for Christmas, Drove Home, and are still sorting through our stuff! WHEW! I promise I have pictures and I will share. I just have to get them from the camera to the computer. And find time to post while sorting through. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and I wish you a Happy New Year.

O Christmas Tree

Seeing as we move into our new house on Thursday we didn't want to set up a huge tree, but I still thought we needed one. So we came across this cute little number at the store and couldn't pass it up. It is only 4 1/2 feet tall, but it is just right for our apartment. It will also be easy to move over to the house. It was fun to see how excited the boys were about having a tree. Joe asked if we needed ornaments and I had said no because it would be easier to move with out them. The boys must have thought other wise because they decided to put some of their blocks on the tree as decorations. They had a great time "Decorating" the tree.

Gingerbread House

This past weekend Joe's Mom and Dad Came up for a visit. While they were here we decided to put together a gingerbread house and some gingerbread boys. I think it is really funny to look at Stew's Gingerbread boy, who looks really good for a 3 year old to have put it together. Then look at Skoebie's I think he is the only one who wanted to eat that Gingerbread monster. As you can guess eating the candies provided in the kit was the favorite part for both boys. We really enjoyed having Jim and Elaine for a visit. We didn't do much, but it was nice to have a relaxing weekend.

Joe got Promoted!

Joe's unit had a nice little promotion ceremony for him the other day. He is no longer at the bottom of the Officer pool. He is now a 1st Lieutenant. Stew was pretty excited because he got to pull off the old rank and put on the new. It was nice to get to meet some of the people that Joe works with on a daily basis.

Bye Bo.

Well, Bo went back to his previous owners house. It was for the best. He and Skoebie we inseparable. The boys handled it quite well. Of course, Joe promised them a new dog when we get settled in our new house. Here are some pictures of our last day in the car with him. We had fun while it lasted. We are thankful for the time that Bo was in our lives.
