Idaho fun

I think the boys loved playing outside the most while we were visiting in Idaho. Every time we let the boys go outside they ran to the sandbox. Grammie and Paw have a huge sandbox with lots of fun trucks and tractors. It was nice to have a yard to let them run around in again. Playing outside sure wears then out. Here are Grammie and Stew at the end of the day crashed out.

FOUR!!!!!

Well, Stew has been begging to learn to golf, and the sporting goods store had a great deal on this ste of clubs for kids age 3-5. So... Stew and I are going to take some golf lessons. He had a blast hitting his practice balls around in the yard at Paw and Grammie's house. Skoeb had to get in on the action too. I love the look of determination on his face.

Pigeons!

The boys love to chase pigeons. Skoeb had a blast running after them in Seattle last weekend (Stew too). He was so funny to watch. It was like he would watch them to plan his method of attack and then RUN! I just love this series of pictures. Watch the pigeon on the corner of the table go from being a sitting duck, to a panic bird with wings strait in the air, to safe in flight. I thought Skoebie was going to give this poor bird a heart attack. I think next time I am going to give them a salt shaker, Hee Hee.

Seattle with Grandma

We had fun in Seattle with my Mom there for a few days. The boys and I spent 4 days in Seattle with my Mom waiting for Joe to leave Korea. Then we flew into Boise to spend some time with Joe's family before returning to Fort Lewis and looking for housing. We had a busy 4 days. We went to the Pike Place Market, IKEA, and took Mom to post, among other outings in between. Stew and Skoeb enjoyed market. Stew wanted to touch and feel everything. He loves pumpkins. The boys even danced with a singing group and had a blast. i don't think that Stew could say "Grandma" enough. We heard "Grandma" every other word. "Grandma, look at this", "Grandma, do this thing", "Grandma watch this." My Mom sure enjoyed it. It was a good time had by all.

On the Plane

Ok, by now you may have figured out that we made it back stateside all in one piece. It has just been slow going getting Internet again. Here are some pictures of the boys on the plane from Seoul to Seattle. Skoebie fell asleep as soon as we took off, he was so tired. Then Stew wanted to watch movies on his "puter" - his DVD player that he thinks is a computer just like Mamma has. This flight attendant was really good with Stew playing games with him all along. Finally both boys crashed out. It was such a LONG flight. I was thankful that we arrived an hour early. I think i only slept like an hour and a half the entire flight. When we arrived in Seattle we had to go through immigration, then claim our bags and go through customs. Our bags were the last ones off the plane. Stew kept looking for my Mom who was meeting us in Seattle. He kept asking me where she was, and of course I didn't know. I just told him we had to get through customs first then we should find her. As we were waiting in line he got tired of the waiting and he looked at me and said..."Mamma, lets just get back on the plane." I think he had given up on Grandma and decided that we might as well be on the plane since he couldn't find her. Then as we went out of customs we were on our way to find Grandma when all of a sudden there she was, and Stew's eyes turned to saucers, he was shocked to find her. I was glad to see my Mom beating down a glass door to catch us and get our attention. I can't believe that I was so ready to get out of customs that I almost missed Mom. I think she was just as shocked to see us almost miss her as well. It was fun to compare her version of what happened to mine, after the fact of course.

All our bags are packed

The boys and I fly out this evening! Keep us in your prayers. We love you and will see you soon. The pictures are from when we were packing the other day. Skoeb decided he needed to be IN the suitcase. Then I took this cute picture of the boys yesterday on the train on our last trip to Seoul.

Happy and 3!

Stew got to blow out the candles on his four wheeler cake. He got to have his cake and eat it too, that is after Papa shoved his face in it. he got to rip into his packages with enormous gusto. And ... rip open every package and play with the toys and wear his new shirt while still at the party. WOW what an evening.
Stew was so funny opening his presents this year. He knew exactly what this birthday thing was all about. He would grab a present off of the table, fling it in the floor, jump up in the air and land on it with his bum and then begin riping it to shreds. It was hilarious to watch. I am not sure what was going through his head, but it sure gave us all a laugh. He was quite happy at the end of the night. He got 10 new vehicles (5 Trucks, 4 Cars, and one four wheeler), an Elmo t-shirt, Don't wake the Hulk game, some books for the airplane, a view finder 3-D, a parachuting Diego, and a little Count Dracula stuffed toy. Not to bad for being 3! Happy Birthday Stew!

The storage unit finally gets emptied

Thank you so much to Anjanette, Joe's Sister, who sat at our storage unit the other day while our stuff was being unpacked form storage and loaded on a truck for the drive to Seattle. I am thankful I have wonderful in-laws. Anj even took pictures so I could put them on my blog. By the looks of things Joe and I will be having a Gigantic yard sale after we get moved in. I hope the nice weather holds out. It will be a great way to meet our new neighbors. It is weird after not having much for the last year of our world travels. I feel like less is better. It is easy to know what you have, where it is and if it fits. I do think we will keep more than a couple of suitcases with us from now on. However, there was one thing found in our storage unit that we didn't pack. A SNAKE! Anj says the guy holding the snake in the picture is about 5' 10" if that give you an idea how long the sucker was. Once they put it in a box she said it was about 2 inches wide and 2 1/2 - 3 feet long! YIKES! I hope this guys doesn't have friends. Snakes are not welcome at our house. The good news is that there were no snake skins, or rodent droppings to indicate he was in there for a long time feeding on mice. It still gives me the hee-bee-gee-bees. Does any one know what type of snake this is?

Stew is 3!

Happy Birthday Stew Man! It is hard to believe that this little guy is 3 already. The pictures on top are from yesterday. Stew watching football with his Papa, and driving his tractor at the train station while waiting on the train. Then we have pictures from his actual birthday. What a great Mom am I. I let Stew run around in Underwear all morning because it was his Birthday and that is what he wanted to do. Then tonight was Joe's farewell BBQ with his soldiers, and this is a picture of Stew with one of the guys 5 year old son. Yes, you read that right, the boy beside Stew is 5. We are having him a birthday party tomorrow with a few friends so I will have actual birthday party pictures later. Poor guy is two out of three at living in a hotel on his birthday.
