4 Steps to a happy boy

Step 1, Open door, show Stew the moving Truck. Step 2, Have the movers unload Stew's Bike. Step 3, Bring bike inside. Step 4, Let Stew ride his bike. Stew got his bike back from the movers. He was extactic! "Momma, My bike! I see it!" Instantly the boy had to ride. He was so happy to see his bike again and feel the wind in his face. The best part was when he looked at me and said, "Momma, I'm a Happy Boy now!" I can't help but love my little Stew Man.

Trick or treat 2008!

Here is our Rat(Ratatouille) and our Bat. We had a practice trick or treat after carving our pumpkin. The boys got to try on their costumes and pose for pictures. That way we could wish you all Happy Halloween! The boys have even been working on saying trick or treat. Stew had to show off his rat tail and his mittens. Skoebie's costume has bat wings under his arms. It is hard to believe that they are wearing the same size costume. Happy Halloween, may you get Treats not Tricks!

Pumpkin Carving 2008

The boys and I were so excited to get outside and carve the pumpkin. Joe was happy to take the pictures. Stew and Skoebie were absolutely fascinated with the whole process. Stew wanted to do it all. He wanted to cut, scoop the guts, pull them out, cut some more, and of course, eat it. Skoebie didn't want anything to do with the insides of the pumpkin. He despises having sticky gooey hands. I wondered how this would go for him. As you can tell from the look on his face he thought it was gross. Stew couldn't get enough of it. It amazes me how sometimes their likes and dislikes can be polar opposites, while other times they might as well be twins. Skoebie enjoyed watching Stew and the finished product of course. I had a hard time explaining to Stew that he couldn't us the knife because it was sharp. He didn't care, he wanted to carve the pumpkin. I am going to wait and show you the fruit of our labors tomorrow. You will just have to wait until then.....

Anything you can do...

I can do better! I came home from the store yesterday morning with this pumpkin and the boys immediately had to take turns picking it up. It was like they were having a mini strong man contest. Stew was all excited to have his own pumpkin. He kept asking if he could eat it. He likes pumpkin pie and I think he thought that is what it would taste like. He can really be a goof sometimes.

Our Temporary Apartment

Here are some Pictures of our apartment that we get to live in for the next 2 months. We are in the town of Steilacoom, WA. There are not any available house on post right now. So, we are in a furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment about 5 miles from post and 3/4 mile from the Puget sound. This apartment is nicer than I thought it would be at first. It is clean and spacious. I guess, I just thought it would be a lot smaller. It even has a dishwasher and microwave! The boys love it here and Joe enjoys BBQing out on the patio. The house we are going to get on Post won't be available for move in until Dec 18th. Yup, that is right, one week before Christmas. I am just excited that we are not living in a hotel any more and we will have a house for Christmas!!! It will be like Christmas just getting all of our stuff. We are not getting household goods delivered here, it would be too much since the place is furnished. Enjoy the Pics.

Free rides and Pirate smiles!

While unpacking suitcases Friday Joe gave Stew a ride in our big suitcase and then Stew decided to give Skoeb rides in his Lightening McQueen Suitcase. Fun was had by all!

Skippin' Rocks on American Lake

This Beautiful lake is within walking distance of our house on post that we will soon have. Friday Moring we went out to the neighborhood to drive around and pick out our house. We are really excited that our house is on a corner lot and is a single family home, not a duplex like most of the other housing on post. We will have a huge yard for the boys to play in. We can hardly wait to move in. Our move in date is currently 18 Dec. One week before Christmas! Until then we are in a Temporary apartment that already came furnished with utilities included for a good price.

In car DVD

Bless the inventor of the in car DVD player! Who even knew that a 19 month old would wear headphones. The boys were way into watching a movie while traveling. that is of course that is until they drifted off to sleep.

On the road

Look at these two handsome boys! We stopped at a rest stop about halfway between Idaho and the coast to stretch our legs. If you look closely you can see Mt Rainer in the background. I was impressed that we could see it from over 200 miles away. The boys were so good for us on the drive. We are blessed with happy boys who love to travel. Stew was so cute sitting on this rock, but he did not want to smile for me at all. I still enjoyed how the pictures turned out.

I want to be a teacher like him.

While visiting at Jim and Elaine's house Stew was going through a box of pictures. When he came across this one of Jesus teaching the children he didn't even ask what the picture was. He just immediately said, "I want to be a teacher like him." I thought it was very sweet.
